About Dr. Tali

Welcome! I am so happy you are here. My name is Tali (like Molly, but with a ’T’). I am a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). My passion is helping individuals stay as independent and involved as possible in the things they find meaningful in life.

I have always been interested in the aging process. During my undergraduate studies, where I received a minor in aging, I taught exercise classes to adults 55+. I was in awe of how their efforts in our classes lead to improved ease, independence, and safety in their daily activities.

I continued my studies and graduated with my master’s degree in occupational therapy. Occupational therapists work in a number of different settings all with the focus of helping you lead a meaningful life. Be that playing with your grandchildren, walking your dog, driving, attending community events, getting yourself dressed each day, or being able to function well in your home. When working as a clinical occupational therapist in the hospital setting for many years I was constantly upset at having to tell patients they could not return to their homes and continue to live their life as they wanted, simply because their home was not safe to do so.  I found that people’s homes were a major limiting factor. There had to be a way to fix this issue.

I decided to pursue my doctorate in occupational therapy. My doctoral thesis focused on helping individuals and their families navigate returning home after a hospital stay or life change.  Naturally, becoming a Certified Aging in Place Specialist came next.  And viola! Aging in Place Consulting was born.

Through my work experience and education, I have the knowledge and unique training to help you stay involved and independent in the life you choose. Let’s work together to make sure you are ready for all the obstacles aging can throw your way. Aging-in-place is very realistic. Do you want to stay in the beloved home you've lived in for years? Or are you looking to move to a new home that is set up just for you? As long as you plan ahead, you can set yourself up for success. I am here to be your guide. Let's get to work!
